Pinetown Printers has been involved in printing books for over 20 years, ranging from educational books to fiction, non-fiction and coffee table books for some of the country’s leading publishers. Our extensive range of finishing capabilities includes saddle stitching, PUR perfect binding, section sewing and hard cover which enables us to meet the demands of publishers. The addition of the HP Indigo allows us to print as little as one book for on-demand printing. The acquisition of our Komori Lithrone in 2005 raised the bar in terms of quality and has seen Pinetown Printers earn a Bronze Award in 2007 and Silver Award in 2008 in the Sappi Printer Awards Book Category.
The combination of the A1 Komori, Heidelberg perfectors, GBC Film Laminator, Kolbus Perfect Binder with PUR capabilities and Muller Martini Bravo T saddle stitcher has enabled Pinetown Printers to produce a variety of glossy magazines for local publishers. The Screen Trueflow - RIP once, output many – workflow is ideally suited to books and magazines and ensures that nothing is lost from proof to platemaking. With the tight deadlines associated with the printing of magazines it is comforting to know that Pinetown Printers is able to turn-around magazines from disc to finished product all under one roof.
